What official sources describe

The ministry ticket platform describes limestone caverns that are dark and humid, with an opening towards the ocean. Tourism writing about the site commonly refers to the outline of that opening as resembling Africa. We report that as a widely repeated description, not as a measurement or a verified silhouette.

What we cannot guarantee

We also do not guarantee that every interior area or viewpoint is accessible during a visit; check with staff which sections are open.

Seeing it on your visit

Ask on arrival which part of the cave looks towards the ocean and whether that viewpoint is included in the current visiting route. Interior lighting, wet surfaces and visitor flow can affect what you can see and photograph, so keep expectations flexible.

Before you go

Does the cave opening really look like Africa?

That is a common description in tourism writing. We have not verified the outline ourselves.

Can I photograph the opening?

Many visitors do, but we have not verified photography rules, tripod use or access to every viewpoint. Ask staff on site and follow their instructions.

Is the opening visible from outside the caves?

We do not publish a verified exterior viewpoint. Official sources describe an opening towards the ocean; check the current route with the operator.
