Hercules Caves and Cap Spartel in one trip

The caves sit on the Cap Spartel massif on the Atlantic coast, so combining the two is the most natural half-day plan near Tangier. This page sets out a route without inventing driving times or shared tickets.

Most needed

A suggested order

Start with the caves inside their published 09:00–17:00 window, then continue to the Cap Spartel coastal area. The Moroccan National Tourist Office presents the caves, the cape and the surrounding Atlantic coast together as Tangier’s natural attractions. Reverse the order only if you have confirmed the cave’s opening status for the later part of the day.

  • Hercules Caves: check hours and admission category first
  • Cap Spartel coastal viewpoints: separate access conditions
  • Return to Tangier: agree the pickup before setting out

What is not included

The cave admission does not automatically cover any other stop. We have not verified a combined ticket, a shuttle between the two, exact driving times, parking arrangements or the opening conditions of other facilities at the cape. Confirm each element locally.

Make it a half day

With an agreed driver, a guide-suggested 45–60 minutes at the caves and an unhurried coastal stop make a reasonable half-day shape. Keep sunset as a separate coastal plan; a late sunset does not extend the cave’s published hours.

Before you go

Can I walk between the caves and Cap Spartel?

We do not verify a safe walking route or its distance. Arrange transport and check local conditions on the day.

Does one ticket cover both sites?

We have not verified a combined ticket. The official admission categories on the ministry platform are for the caves; treat other stops separately.

What is the best order?

We suggest the caves first within the published hours, then the cape coastline, then the return to Tangier. Confirm opening status and travel times locally.
