Public transport to Hercules Caves

The only scheduled service we can point to is the sightseeing bus route published by Tangier City Tour, which serves the Cap Spartel area and the caves. Its current operation must be checked with the operator.

Most needed

The published sightseeing route

Tangier City Tour publishes a route and map/schedule covering the Cap Spartel area, including Hercules Caves. Use the operator’s own page to confirm whether it runs on your date, where the nearest stop is, the first and last services and the current fare. Seasonal operation can change.

What we deliberately omit

We do not publish local bus numbers, standard city-bus fares, stop names beyond the operator’s own information, or a year-round timetable. These are exactly the details that change most often and that we have not independently verified on the ground.

  • Check the operator’s route map and timetable for your date
  • Confirm the last return service before entering the caves
  • Keep a taxi or driver as a fallback for the return leg

Fit transport to the published hours

The ministry platform publishes 09:00–17:00 for the cave visit. Choose a service that gets you there with a margin, and confirm the return before you go in. If the timetable no longer suits, a pre-arranged transfer is the more predictable option.

Before you go

Is there a city bus to Hercules Caves?

A sightseeing bus operator publishes a Cap Spartel route serving the caves. We do not verify ordinary city bus numbers or fares; check the operator’s current schedule.

Does the sightseeing bus run all year?

We have not verified seasonality. Check the operator’s timetable for your travel date rather than assuming daily year-round service.

What if I miss the last bus back?

Arrange a fallback taxi or private transfer in advance. We do not verify taxi availability at the site.
